The Spring of Culture is an annual festival that is organized on the month of March of every year by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Sheikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research, the Economic Development Board, in cooperation with La Fontaine and Albareh Art Gallery with various events and activities that caters to different interests, tastes and age groups.
The Spring of Culture always has its packed agenda of exciting shows with top artists that range from theatre, dance, art, music, and concerts. Also, other cultural activities are held throughout the event. The Spring of Culture highlights the Kingdom’s unique historical landmarks and rich cultural heritage. While at the same time, presenting visitors to the kingdom’s endless opportunities for exploration, education, and entertainment.
The annual event has always been a much awaited event by many, since it has always been known for featuring the most famous artists and singers across the region. Also, because it offers plenty of choices for families who are enjoying an array of International Performances by professional artists every year. Those performances are hosted in different venues across the Kingdom, in a suitable way for families to take their kids and enjoy the wide range of activities.
There are a lot more activities during the Spring of Culture that are set to offer diverse workshops and educational programs, from weaving to pickling to calligraphy, aiming to elevate the skills of the youth and the creative minds.
The aim of hosting the Spring of Culture Festival is in line with the overall goals that are set by Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, which is to strengthen and develop the tourism sector, that has its direct impact to the Kingdom’s economy in overall as well as the 2030 Economic vision.
