During the visit of Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization in the Kingdom of Bahrain, he praised the efforts of the national task force in combating the Corona pandemic. Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, and the Prime Minister proved their effective leadership in curbing the spread of Covid-19 making Bahrain the focus of attention of many countries around the world.
The Kingdom of Bahrain has been taking smart steps to limit the spread of this virus that ravaged the world. Bahrain was able to achieve great success with the gradual decline in the number of infected people, which is parallel with the relative increase in the number of people recovering from infection. It was also due to the health awareness campaign about the virus and the provision of medical and human capabilities. The efforts put to mitigate the spread of the Corona pandemic were able to make Bahrain move to unprecedented levels, according to the indicators of the COVID-19 Alert Level Traffic Light System. The transition from yellow level to green level means that the Kingdom of Bahrain is the first Arab country where masks can be removed in public spaces.
In continuation of these great efforts, the national vaccination campaign that was launched is the most vital step taken to combat the epidemic. The Kingdom’s provision of free vaccines to all citizens and residents alike shows that humanitarian commitment is embraced.
