Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) launched the 5th edition of Bahrain Food Festival on the 20th of February 2020 as part of its efforts to develop the Kingdom of Bahrain’s tourism sector. The 5th version of the festival was held at Bahrain Bay in a great location in the heart of the capital city of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Manama.
The festival took place from the 20th until the 29th with more than two hundred participating food vendors, a wide range of F&B options, healthy, organic and street food that was offered including the fun activities and entertainment that is suitable for families.
The 5th Food Festival also featured a long line of entertainment including a candy land, educational play area and a traditional village where people enjoyed live cooking stations, local food, fun competitions, and music performances.
The 5th edition of Bahrain Food Festival's aim was to offer its visitors the ultimate experience by hosting a wide range of activities, musical performances, entertainment, competitions and play areas that were dedicated to children.
Large companies in Bahrain were supporting the Bahrain Food Festival 2020 event including stc, Bahrain Duty Free, Lulu Hypermarket, Kuwait Finance House, Ithmaar Bank, Alosra Supermarket, Bahrain Bay, GMI, Awal Gas, IKEA, Park Point and many more.
The aim of hosting the Bahrain Food Festival is in line with BTEA’s overall strategy which is to strengthen and develop the tourism sector which also has its significance towards the 2030 Economic vision and the Kingdom’s economy overall.
