What Makes the Four Seasons Hotel so Iconic?

The 69-floor Four Seasons Hotel opened for business in 2015 and of its many features, one of the most significant, is that it stands on its very own island.  But perhaps the most significant is the ‘H shape’ of the building which houses the 273 hotel rooms featuring stunning views. 

Who Was Behind the Design?

The Four Seasons Hotel, designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) are the creative brains behind not just the Four Seasons Hotel, but also the entire transformation of Bahrain Bay.  The $2.5billion waterfront community comprises pf residential, commercial, retain and tourism facilities on reclaimed land across the heart of the city.

What is Bahrain Bay?

Bahrain Bay, situated on coastal land is in the heart of the bustling capital city of Manama.  The master plan behind Bahrain Bay – designed by the firm behind Dubai’s Burj Khalifa – Skidmore Holdings was for the area to appear as ‘concentric circles appearing as ripples from the central anchor structure.’ 

As a location, Bahrain Bay’s array of buildings offer state-of-the-art office and residential buildings as well as housing the fabulous Four Seasons Hotel.

Thanks to the vision of Bin Faqeeh Chairman Faisal Faqeeh, 2019 will see another iconic landmark, sculpted onto the picture perfect Bahrain Bay.

The ambitious Waterbay Residences, set for completion in Q4 of this will year will see three luxury towers (west, middle and east), but with each offering a unique twist.
