International Women’s Day
 

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8th. The theme for this year is “I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights”. The day celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and also highlights a call to action for gender parity.

The Kingdom of Bahrain have joined the other nations in the world to mark the International Women’s Day. The occasion epitomizes Bahrain’s keenness on sharing the world the celebration and shedding light on Bahraini women’s political, legislative, economic and social strides and highlighting achievements in all other fields.

Bahraini Mother’s Day
 

Bahraini Mother’s Day is celebrated every 21st of March. It is an occasion to honour the contribution and influence of mothers to families and to the society.

Whether it’s your mother, grandmother, an aunt, a teacher, or a friend, the women in our lives shape and define us in ways both large and small. They comfort us, encourage us, care for us, and provide for us in more ways than most of us can possibly imagine. The denoted day is an excuse to express our utmost gratitude to all amazing mother’s.

Preparatory Symposium for the Second International Sustainability and Resilience
 

The Sustainability and Resilience Conference is an annual conference to be organized by the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the University of Bahrain (UOB), and under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Ryadh Hamzah, President of the UOB. The concept of “Sustainability and Resilience” in itself is not new worldwide, yet still new to the Middle East region in general, and to the Gulf states in particular.

Such a unique portfolio of academic universities and research institutions aim at establishing “Sustainability and Resilience Centre” on the long-term, which shall be mandated to act as a centre of excellence providing applied projects and empirical researches in the domain of sustainable development and the co-related fields.

BTEA launched the 5th Bahrain Food Festival
 

The BTEA launched the 5th edition of Bahrain Food Festival on the 20th until 29th of February 2020. The event had more than two hundred participating food vendors, a wide range of F&B options, healthy, organic and street food that was offered including the fun activities and entertainment that is suitable for families.

The aim of hosting the Bahrain Food Festival is in line with BTEA’s overall strategy which is to strengthen and develop the tourism sector which also has its significance towards the 2030 Economic vision and the Kingdom’s economy overall.
